Qigong & Dance Fusion Training with Peter Petersen
April 9 - 12
Alexandria, VA.
Qigong Dance Training Immersion
A long weekend of movement, music, meditation, energy, and embodied vitality
What if your body became the place you go to recharge?
Not the gym. Not something you ingest.
Your body.
This Qigong Dance Training is a playful and grounding long weekend where movement becomes medicine and music becomes a guide.
We’ll move slowly, softly, and wildly with curiosity. We’ll listen to the body instead of pushing it. And we’ll remember how good it feels to be alive inside ourselves.
As Qigong weaves into your everyday life, energy begins to last longer. Food tastes better. Falling asleep comes with more ease. Creativity wakes up. There’s a quiet relaxation in the body that changes how you move through the world.
If movement, music, and meditation light you up…
If you love being in your body and want practices that support vitality and longevity…
If you feel the pull to one day hold movement spaces for others…
This training may be for you.
I’ve been teaching Sheng Zhen Qigong for over 24 years and began weaving dance into my sessions in 2011. I’m deeply passionate about movement as medicine and about holding space for people who love to move, breathe, and feel alive.
When I’m guiding a room full of passionate movement lovers, I’m in my deepest joy.
Who this training for?
If you love movement and want it to feel as nourishing rather than forced
If you are curious about Qigong as a daily practice for vitality, longevity, and ease
If enjoy exploring music, rhythm, and dance as pathways to presence and joy
If you want to feel more at home in your body
If you are drawn to practices that support nervous-system regulation and embodied awareness
If you are curious about guiding or facilitating movement spaces, now or in the future
For this training you do not need to be a dancer or an experienced facilitator. You simply need a body, curiosity, and a willingness to listen and learn.
This is an experiential, body-led immersion rooted in curiosity, presence, and lived practice.

What we’ll explore together
Over this immersive weekend, we will:
Learn Qigong movements until they feel natural, embodied, and easy to remember. Let Qigong melt into dance, allowing structure and freedom to coexist.
Explore how movement supports the nervous system, immune system, and overall vitalityPractice meditation to integrate the energy we cultivate through movement. Dive into music sharing and curation, learning how to create movement journeys that feel rich, intentional, and alive.
Explore how to guide others through movement with confidence, creativity, and presence. Weave in simple rituals and wisdom inspired by Tantra, supporting connection and embodiment.
Build a small, connected tribe of people who love coming together to move and be in their bodiesWhat you’ll walk away withBy the end of this immersion, you’ll leave with: A felt, embodied relationship with Qigong you can return to daily.
A clear understanding of how to use movement to support energy, vitality, and nervous-system ease
Confidence remembering and practicing Qigong movements on your ownTools for weaving music, movement, and meditation into cohesive, nourishing experiences
Greater trust in your body as a source of wisdom and guidanceA deeper sense of connection, aliveness, and belonging in your body and in community
And...For those who feel the call to guide others, this immersion also includes a facilitator-track lens woven throughout the weekend. You’ll explore how to hold movement space with clarity, presence, and care, tools on how to read the energy of a room, choose music intentionally, cue movement simply, and create experiences that feel both grounded and alive.
This is not about pretending to be someone else or getting it “right.” It’s about trusting your body, your timing, and your unique way of leading movement in a way that feels authentic and sustainable.
