CHAMPIONSHIP PRESENCE
Where Peak Performance Begins
Athletes trains strength and skill
Championship teams train attention
Championship Presence is a performance methodology that helps athletes recover, reset, and respond with clarity under pressure.
The Coach's Challenge
The greatest challenge coaches face isn't teaching athletes what to do.
It's helping them consistently execute what they've trained when the pressure is highest or the game is on the line.
-
Pressure doesn't erase talent. It makes talent harder to access.
-
When the game speeds up, focus slips. Emotions rise.
-
Decisions become rushed. Small mistakes become costly ones.
-
Pointless penalties can swing momentum of a game

Championship Presence helps athletes remain composed, think clearly, and consistently execute their training when it matters most.
Pressure Doesn't Beat Teams
-
How they respond to pressure does.
-
Under pressure, athletes can lose focus.
-
Communication begins to break down.
-
Emotions influence decisions.
-
Execution becomes inconsistent.
-
Championship teams aren't defined by avoiding pressure.
-
They're defined by how quickly they recover, refocus, and execute the next play.
The Process
The Championship Presence Process
It starts with

Intentional Movement with Focused Breathing
15 to 20 minutes before practice or competition
Prepares the body, sharpens attention, and brings athletes into the moment.
↓
Mind Body Connection
Athletes become more aware of what they are doing physically and mentally.
↓
Body Control
Improves balance, coordination, posture, breathing, and physical composure.
↓
Emotional Control
Reduces reactivity, builds composure under pressure, and helps prevent costly penalties.
↓
Mental Clarity
Improves focus, situational awareness, decision making, instinct, and creativity under pressure.
↓
Faster Recovery
Helps athletes recover more quickly after mistakes, setbacks, and emotional moments.
↓
Consistent Execution
Allows athletes to repeatedly access and perform the skills they have already trained.
↓
Championship Performance
Athletes perform closer to their full ability when the pressure is highest.
↓
Greater Team Success
Not because the process wins games by itself, but because it improves execution, composure, and consistency across the team.

Consistent Execution
Elite athletes spend thousands of hours training their bodies and refining their skills. Yet under pressure, many struggle to consistently access that training.

Championship Presence bridges the gap between physical preparation and real time execution by improving body awareness, emotional regulation, recovery after mistakes, and decision making.
When athletes can recover more quickly, think more clearly, and execute more consistently, performance improves naturally.
The Science Behind Championship Presence
The science behind Championship Presence draws upon decades of research in neuroscience, sports psychology, and human performance. Researchers such as Dr. Amishi Jha, Dr. Andrew Huberman, and Dr. Michael Gervais have demonstrated how attention training, controlled breathing, and emotional regulation improve focus, resilience, decision making, and performance under pressure.
Studies have data to showcase:

-
Controlled breathing helps regulate the nervous system, improve emotional control, and accelerate recovery after stressful moments.
-
Mindfulness and attention training have been shown to improve focus, working memory, emotional regulation, and sustained attention, all essential skills for high level athletic performance.
-
Intentional movement and mental rehearsal improve body awareness, motor learning, and the ability to consistently execute trained skills under pressure.
-
Elite performers demonstrate greater attentional control and emotional regulation, allowing them to recover more quickly from mistakes and return their focus to the next play.
-
Championship Presence brings these evidence based principles together into a practical system that athletes can apply before practice, before competition, and during the moments that matter most.

Champions aren't defined by the mistakes they make. They're defined by how quickly they recover from them.
Meet Peter Petersen
For more than 25 years, Peter Petersen has helped people improve focus, composure, resilience, and performance through the integration of breath, movement, and awareness training.

A certified Sheng Zhen Qigong instructor in the lineage of Master Li Jun Feng, Peter has guided thousands of people, from first time students to high performing professionals, in developing the ability to recover from stress, regulate emotions, and consistently perform with greater clarity under pressure.

A lifelong athlete, Peter has competed in tennis, hockey, volleyball, and numerous other sports. After discovering qigong in 2001, he experienced firsthand how intentional movement and breath could dramatically improve focus, recovery, decision making, and execution in competition. That experience became the foundation of what is now Championship Presence.

Over the past two decades, Peter has taught in health clubs, hospitals, wellness centers, corporate settings, and international events around the world. His work bridges ancient mind body practices with modern performance principles, translating timeless skills into practical tools that athletes can apply before practice, before competition, and in the moments that matter most.

Championship Presence is the culmination of a lifetime devoted to understanding one essential question:
How can athletes consistently access their highest level of performance when the pressure is greatest?
For Peter, the answer has become both a profession and a lifelong pursuit.
Every Championship Begins with a Choice
The choice to return to the present
The choice to respond instead of react.
The choice to train the mind with the same intention as the body
